On June 16, 2009, H. E. Mr. Song Zhe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Head of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to the European Communities had a meeting with European Left Chairman Lothar Bisky. Ambassador Song expressed the hope to further strengthen friendly exchanges between the two parties and work together to promote healthy,steady and long-term development of China-EU relations. President Bisky spoke positively of China's achievements in reform and opening up. He is willing to make new contributions to the development of EU-China relations. The two sides also discussed the current situation in Europe.
