H.E. Mr. Yang Youming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Trinidad and Tobago, paid his courtesy call on the Honourable Senator Hazel Manning, Minister of Local Government on Jan. 20, 2010.

Minister Manning expressed her warm welcome to Ambassador Yang and Ambassador Yang thanked her for the meeting. They agreed that China and Trinidad and Tobago enjoy excellent relations. They introduced to each other of the different systems and operations of the local governments in China and Trinidad and Tobago. They also exchanged views on the possible cooperation on environment protection and waste recycling between China and Trinidad and Tobago.
