Ambassador Yang Youming on visit by Tianjin Song and Dance Troupe in interview with Guardian

Chinese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago H.E. Mr. Yang Youming spoke about the visit  to the country by Tianjin Song and Dance Troupe in a recent interview with Mr. Anthony Wilson, Editor in Chief of Guardian.

Ambassador Yang said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Trinidad and Tobago, we have seen the steady development of bilateral relations and continous flow of cultural exchanges. Almost every year, Chinese cultural troupes would come to visit Trinidad and Tobago. Steel Pan bands and other cultural groups from Trinidad and Tobago have also visited China. This exchange of visits have promoted the cultural interaction between the two countries and increased friendship and understanding of the two peoples.

Ambassador Yang briefed Mr. Wilson of the itinerary of Tianjin Song and Dance Troupe in Trinidad and Tobago and remarked that the Troupe's visit is a continuation of the fine tradition of cultural exchanges between the two countries. At the same time, China's new year of the tiger is approaching, Trinidad and Tobago is to hold an annual carnival soon, the group is here also to join in the celebration of the festivals, and have brought with them seasonal greetings from the Chinese people to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
