Chinese Embassy in Nepal hosts Tibetan Losar Iron Tiger New Year Reception

In Celebration of the Tibetan Losar Iron Tiger New Year, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Nepal hosts a Reception on February 6, 2010 in Kathmandu. More than 600 Tibetan compatriots residing in Nepal attend the reception and spend the festival with Embassy staff together. H.E. Mr. Qiu Guohong, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, extends season's greetings and sincere wishes to all Tibetan compatriots in Nepal. The attendees express their satisfaction with the colorful culture show performed by the Art Troupe from Nagchu area of TAR China by applause and cheering time and again.

In the speech, Ambassador Qiu has introduced the outstanding economic and social development achievements by TAR in 2009, and described the vivid new Tibet with fast developing economy, stable social order, comprehensively progressive social affairs and strengthened ethnic unity to those Tibetan compatriots residing abroad. Ambassador Qiu has also emphasized that the central Government of China has always been attaching high importance to the livelihood condition of those Tibetan compatriots residing abroad, adhering to the policy of "all compatriots belong to one big family, and it's never late to be compatriot", and expecting all the Tibetan compatriots continue supporting the development and unification of China.
