On February 7, the new Chinese Embassy building (pending completion) in Reykjavik is amidst holiday atmosphere. Ambassador Su Ge and his wife Li Jing hold a reception to celebrate the traditional Chinese Spring Festival.

Attending the reception are mainly overseas Chinese, Chinese students, scholars and construction workers for the Reykjavik Music Hall. In his speech, Ambassador Su wishes everyone Happy Chinese New Year. He also hopes that everyone will contribute to the ever-growing friendly relations between China and Iceland and the two peoples.

On February 14 this year, it will be the start of the Year of the Tiger, according to the Chinese lunar calendar.
