On May 19, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister He Yafei had a courtesy meeting with Kåre Aas, Director General of the Department for Security Policy and the High North of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both sides exchanged views on issues related to Myanmar, nuclear disarmament, peaceful use of nuclear energy and review of Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
