On October 23, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jieyi met with Secretary-General of the Italian Foreign Ministry Mr. Giampiero Massolo, also Italian G8 Sherpa. Both sides exchanged views on the G-8 outreach session to be held next year and other issues of common concern.
