On January 27, 2010, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Hailong attended the conference on Yemen’s anti-terrorism issue held in London, Britain. Prime Minister of Yemen as well as the foreign ministers or representatives of 20 countries including the US, Britain, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait and heads of related international organizations attended the conference.

Addressing the conference, Wu elaborated the position of the Chinese government on anti-terrorism and noted that the fight against terrorism should take a comprehensive approach, insist on international cooperation and coordinated actions, adhere to inclusiveness and dialogue and build consensus. China admires the anti-terrorism efforts of the Yemeni government and supports it in playing a leading role. The international community should provide help on the basis of respecting Yemen’s sovereignty.
