The King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Congratulate China on the Complete Success of the Beijing Olympic Games

On August 29, 2008, King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General of Saudi Arabia respectively sent telegrams to President Hu Jintao congratulating China on the complete success of the Beijing Olympic Games.

King Abdullah said in the telegram that the preparation and organization of the Beijing Olympic Games is an exceptional success and upgrades this grand sports event reach to an admirably outstanding level. The Beijing Olympic Games made many accomplishments, which reflected the wishes of human society for peaceful co-existence and enhanced friendship and cooperation. He also sent his congratulations to Chinese athletes on what they achieved in the Olympic Games.

King Abdullah pointed out that the two countries and people enjoy good relationship, which is developing in all fronts. Saudi Arabia hopes to continue as always to strengthen such relations for the benefits of both sides.

Crown Prince Sultan said in the telegram that as the Olympiad drew to a close, he wished to congratulate China on its accomplishments and achievements, especially in the preparation and organization of the Olympic Games. He also extended his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of China.
