On November 27, 2009, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun at invitation attended a reception to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Albania & Albania's National Day reception held by the Albanian Embassy in China. Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun and Albanian Ambassador to China Maxhun Peka delivered speeches respectively. Both sides spoke highly of the traditional friendship between China and Albania, expressing willingness to take the opportunity of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic ties to further enhance their pragmatic cooperation on politics, economy, trade, culture, education and tourism and jointly advance bilateral ties.
