On July 22, 2005, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse with visiting Reaz Rahman, the Advisor for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. Both sides exchanged views on deepening and widening the China-Bangladesh comprehensive partnership.

Rahman and his delegation visited China at the invitation of Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei. On the same morning, Wu also held a bilateral meeting with Rahman.
