Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo Meets with Bangladeshi State Minister for Home Affairs

On April 24, Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo met with visiting Bangladeshi State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar and his delegation. Dai thanked the Bangladeshi government for its support on Taiwan and other questions and emphasizing that China attaches great importance to bilateral relations and would like to push for continuous development of bilateral comprehensive cooperative partnership. Babar said that China is a good friend and partner of Bangladesh. Bangladesh thanks for China's assistance over the years and hopes that China will continue to support its economic and social development. Babar reaffirmed that the Bangladeshi government resolutely pursues the one-China policy and will continue to support China on questions related to Taiwan, Tibet and human rights.

Babar and his delegation visited China at the invitation of State Councilor & Minister of Public Security Zhou Yongkang.
