On October 17, 2011, China and Bangladesh held the 9th round of diplomatic consultations in Beijing. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun met with Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary Mijarul Quayes. Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin chaired the consultations. The two sides spoke highly of bilateral relations and pledged to enhance pragmatic cooperation in all fields so as to further promote China-Bangladesh Closer Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
