Tang Jiaxuan Meets with Japan's State Minister in Charge of Administrative Reform

On July 15, 2006, State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with Koki Chuma, Japan's state minister in charge of administrative reform, in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Tang expressed his appreciation for years of positive efforts Chuma has made for promoting China-Japan cooperation in such areas as environmental protection, tourism, technology and trade. He welcomed strengthened personnel and youth exchanges with Japan to increase mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

Chuma said that Japan and China should enhance exchanges through various channels to improve bilateral relations.

Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Jing DunQuan, Japanese Ambassador to China Yuji Miyamoto and other officials attended the meeting.
