On November 22 2004, Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei met with the Japanese Delegation of main stream media commentators. Wu briefed them on the stand of the Chinese side on developing China-Japan relations and expressed the hope that the Japanese press makes active efforts to promote long term stable development of the bilateral relations.

The delegation which consists of 7 senior commentators from Japanese main stream media is visiting China upon the invitation of the Information Office of the State Council of China.
