Dai Bingguo Meets with Mongolian Foreign Minister Oyun

2008/03/24

On March 24, 2008, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with a delegation headed by Mongolian Foreign Minister Sanjaasuren Oyun.

China and Mongolia were seeing sound development of bilateral relations and were expected to seize the opportunities to deepen concrete cooperation so as to contribute to the two countries, their peoples, and peace and development in northeast Asia, Dai said.

In response, Oyun said to develop long-term stable relations of good-neighborly friendship with China is the Mongolian government's unswerving policy, and Mongolia would like to continuously deepen the good-neighborly partnership of mutual trust.

Mongolia always holds that Tibet and Taiwan were inalienable parts of the People's Republic of China, Oyun said, adding the Mongolian government understood and supported the Chinese government's lawful measures in dealing with the Lhasa riots. Dai expressed appreciation and thanks for such a position.
