Wen stressed China respects the choice made by the Nepali people on their social system and way of development according to the situation of Nepal, supports efforts of various forces in Nepal for peace and stability and sincerely hopes that Nepal could realize political reconciliation, social stability and economic development at an early date.

Premier Wen pointed out it is a persistent policy of the Chinese government to develop friendly cooperation with Nepal and China is ready to make joint efforts with Nepal's democratic government to consolidate and develop friendly cooperation in all areas. China is also ready to continue offering assistance within its available resources for Nepal's economic and social development. Wen expressed appreciation for Nepal's firm support on Taiwan, Tibet and other questions.

Oli said the Nepali democratic government attaches great importance to traditional friendship with China, adding that it is grateful for China's long-term political support and economic assistance and will continue to adhere to the one-China policy.
