Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and his Japanese counterpart Shotaro Yachi held the sixth round of China-Japan strategic dialogue in Tokyo on Sept. 23-26. During the dialogue, both sides expressed the willingness to improve and develop the China-Japan relationship, and exchanged in-depth views on how to clear up the political obstacles to the development of bilateral relations. The two sides agreed to continue the dialogue.

During his stay in Japan, Dai also met with some Japanese top officials, including Foreign Minister Taro Aso, House of Representatives Speaker Yohei Kono, and Secretary-General of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party Hidenao Nakagawa.
