On September 7, 2009, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun gave an interview to CCTV Arabic channel's Dialogue program with the theme of Sino-Arabic Relations Remain Strong and Vigorous. Zhai extended congratulations on the launch of CCTV Arabic channel and expressed hope that the channel will produce and broadcast rich programs to help strengthen the Arabic nations and people's understanding of China and friendship with the Chinese people. Based on his own experience, Zhai answered the anchor's questions on the history, status quo and prospects of Sino-Arabic friendly and cooperative relations, China's role in the Middle East affairs, the achievements of the Sino-Arabic Cooperation Forum since its establishment and Sino-Arabic cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, culture and education. The interview will be put on air by CCTV Arabic channel during the National Day holiday this year.
