To implement the consensus reached last year between the two heads of state on the sideline of APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Chile, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and US Deputy Secretary of State Zoellick will hold the first China-US strategic dialogue in Beijing on August 1^st. The two sides will exchange views over China-US relations and major international and regional issues of common interest.
