Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao announced,

"At the invitation of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing will attend the Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Iranian Nuclear Issue in New York to exchange views on Iranian nuclear issue with his counterparts from the U.K., France, Germany, the U.S. and Russia."
