Q: Nepalese Prime Minister Khanal submitted his resignation to the President on August 14. What is China's comment?

A: China appreciates Prime Minister Khanal's active commitment to the development of China-Nepal relations during his tenure.

The Chinese Government sticks to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and values the development of China-Nepal friendship and cooperation. Being Nepal's friend and neighbour, China sincerely hopes that all political parties there seek political consensus through dialogue and jointly press ahead with peace process as well as the formulation of Constitution in a bid to achieve political stability and economic development of Nepal at an early date.
