On September 2, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister Cai Wei attended upon invitation the reception hosted by the Embassy of Viet Nam in China to mark the 81st anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day, and exchanged views with Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh on advancing the building of the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future.
