On September 24, 2025, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with Ambassador of Afghanistan to China Mawlawi Asadullah "Bilal Karimi".

Mawlawi Asadullah "Bilal Karimi" sincerely thanked the Chinese side for promptly expressing condolences to the Afghan side over the heavy casualties caused by the earthquake in Afghanistan, and highly praised the emergency humanitarian assistance provided by the Chinese side.

The two sides also exchanged views on China-Afghanistan relations and issues of mutual interest.
