Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Has Discussions and Exchanges with Visiting Singaporean Delegation Consisting of Permanent Secretaries

On November 13, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with a visiting Singaporean delegation consisting of permanent secretaries. The two sides had discussions and exchanges on China's neighborhood diplomacy and China-Singapore relations.

Miao Deyu noted that recently, the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was successfully convened. The Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development adopted at the session uphold high-quality development, a people-centered approach, openness and cooperation, and peaceful development. The Recommendations will provide more opportunities for China to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with its neighboring countries, including Singapore. China welcomes Singapore's active synergy with the 15th Five-Year Plan, so as to promote the in-depth development of China-Singapore relations and achieve more fruitful results. China remains committed to fostering an amicable, secure and prosperous neighborhood, and following the principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and the vision of a shared future in neighborhood diplomacy, and strives to work with neighboring countries to deepen strategic mutual trust and development integration, build a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home, and jointly build a neighborhood community with a shared future.

The Singaporean side highly commended the remarkable achievements made in Chinese modernization and expressed willingness to deepen mutual learning with China, strengthen strategic communication, enhance cooperation in various fields, and jointly safeguard the regional environment for peace and development.

Miao Deyu, in response to inquiries, briefed the delegation on China's principled positions on relevant international and regional issues.

The visiting Singaporean delegation consisting of permanent secretaries is an important program in China-Singapore official training cooperation. This visiting delegation included over 30 permanent secretaries from Singapore's government, military, and public service departments.
