On October 20, 2025, Director-General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Chen Weiqing held a video meeting with Director of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Al-Johara Yousef Fakhro at the latter's request. They exchanged views on China-Qatar relations and regional issues of mutual interest.
