Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia

On the evening of September 7, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met at the National Convention Center in Vientiane with Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and Malaysia are friendly close neighbors and cooperation partners sharing mutual trust. Bilateral relations have constantly made new progress and cooperation in key areas has undergone smooth development. Attaching high importance to developing relations with Malaysia, China is ready to make persistent efforts with Malaysia to elevate bilateral relations and practical cooperation in various fields to a new level.

Li Keqiang stressed that China is willing to join efforts with ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, to safeguard the overall situation of peace and stability in the region and promote common development and prosperity.

Najib Razak expressed that Malaysia-China relations enjoy solid foundation and sound development. Malaysia is pleased to see Chinese enterprises' active participation in the construction of infrastructure, industrial parks as well as other projects in Malaysia. The country supports financial cooperation between the two sides. Malaysia is willing to work with China to push relations and cooperation between the ASEAN and China for better development.
