On May 9, 2023, Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs of the Chinese Government Qian Bo attended the launching ceremony of the China-Pacific Island Countries Agriculture Cooperation and Demonstration Center, and delivered remarks.

Qian Bo said that China’s preparation and construction of the China-Pacific Island Countries Agriculture Cooperation and Demonstration Center is a concrete action of implementing the outcomes of the second China-Pacific Island Countries Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and an important measure to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides. China is ready to work with island countries to uphold the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, improve the construction of the center, deepen cooperation in agriculture and fishery, and achieve sustainable development.
