On the morning of November 14, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met at the hotel where he stayed in Manila with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull of Australia.

Li Keqiang expressed that both China and Australia see each other's development as important opportunities. China-Australia annual Prime Ministerial meeting and other mechanisms have played a positive role in promoting the development of bilateral relations and cooperation. It is hoped that both sides could intensify communication and coordination, enhance exchanges and cooperation, jointly promote this series of Leaders' Meetings on East Asia Cooperation to focus on regional cooperation, and jointly send out the positive signal of facilitating regional peace and development.

Li Keqiang pointed out that only when you uphold free trade, can you have fair trade. On the basis of adhering to free trade, China is willing to work with Australia to further unleash the dividends of free trade agreement, further expand the scope of opening-up in trade and investment, and jointly promote fairer and better trade for the sustainable development of economic globalization.

Malcolm Turnbull expressed that Australia-China relations enjoy strong development momentum and huge potential for cooperation. Both countries support free trade, and should further enhance cooperation in free trade and jointly promote the development of global trade. The Australian side is happy to see China's efforts in advancing regional peace and development, and stands ready to work with China to strengthen cooperation in economy, trade, e-commerce, law-enforcement, security and other fields, in a bid to push forward bilateral relations for better and better development.
