On February 16, 2020, the first meeting of the international follow-up committee of Libya Conference in Berlin was held in Munich. Representatives from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Russia, the United States, the United Nations, the League of Arab States, and the African Union were present. Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended as Chinese representative.

Qin Gang noted in his speech, the international community should act on the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind to earnestly implement the outcomes of Libya Conference in Berlin, and urge the conflicting parties to cease fire and start negotiation to promote the political settlement of the Libyan issue. China is willing to work with the international community to continue to make positive contributions to facilitating the stabilization of the situation in Libya.
