Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng: U.S. B3W Plan Further Proves Belt and Road Initiative is Right and Promising
Updated: July 10, 2021 10:10

On July 9, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng said in an interview on the "China Forum" column of guancha.cn, the Build Back Better World (B3W) Plan the U.S. proposed seven years after the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cannot compete with the BRI, but further proves the BRI is right and promising. The success of the BRI lies in "earnest implementation" and "hard work". For instance, roads, bridges and tunnels cannot be built without large investment and strenuous efforts. Any plan cannot turn into reality only through convening a conference, making a report or putting forward some slogans. In addition, the BRI is open and inclusive. We don't refuse other good cooperation plans proposed by other countries. We hope that Western countries led by the U.S. earnestly implement the infrastructure plans, build more roads and bridges for developing countries, and bring them more jobs and benefits instead of eagerly interfering in internal affairs of other countries and stubbornly exporting Western values.
