Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Visits Australia for Political Consultation between the Foreign Ministries of China and Australia

On June 13, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu held the 25th political consultation between the foreign ministries of China and Australia with Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia Jan Adams in Canberra. The two sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on advancing the development of China-Australia relations as well as international and regional issues of common interest and concern.

Ma Zhaoxu emphasized that this year marks the beginning of the second decade of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Australia. China is willing to work with Australia, under the guidance of the leaders of both countries, to enhance dialogue and exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, better manage differences, jointly address challenges, and promote further development of China-Australia relations.
