On January 9, 2026, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met with Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company of the United States Robert Alan Iger in Beijing.

Noting that China's economy is deeply integrated into the world economy, Ding Xuexiang said that the better China develops, the more benefits all parties will gain. China's 14th Five-Year Plan has been successfully completed, with significant new achievements across various undertakings, making important contributions to global development. The fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee has outlined the blueprint for China's development over the next five years. China will steadfastly promote high-quality development, expand high-standard opening up, and continuously optimize the business environment. China welcomes enterprises from all countries, including Disney, to continue investing in China and exploring the Chinese market, actively participate in Chinese modernization, and share China's opportunities to achieve greater development.

Robert Alan Iger said that Disney is confident in China's development and will continue to expand its investment in China and better promote exchanges and cooperation between the United States and China.
