On November 20, 2025, Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs of the Chinese Government Qian Bo had a group meeting with political leaders of Pacific Island countries, including Speaker of the Parliament of Vanuatu Stephen Dorrick Felix. Qian Bo introduced the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, China's development path, and China's foreign policy towards Pacific Island countries. The two sides also had in-depth and friendly exchanges on issues of common concern.
