On February 22, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Hanhui attended at invitation the reception marking the Defender of the Fatherland Day held by the Russian Embassy in China, during which he exchanged views with Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov on China-Russia relations and other topics.

Relevant leaders and representatives of all departments from the Chinese military, military Attachés of some embassies in China and others attended the reception.
