On April 11, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Hanhui met with Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev of Azerbaijan in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on China-Azerbaijan relations, cooperation in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and international and regional issues of common concern.
