President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan Meets with Yang Jiechi

On September 11, 2019, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, who was paying a state visit to China, met with Yang Jiechi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee in Beijing.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked the Chinese side for its support for Kazakhstan's economic and social development, and said that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to developing its relations with China and is willing to deepen cooperation with the Chinese side in agriculture, industry, new and high technology, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and other fields to enrich the connotation of Kazakhstan-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

Yang Jiechi expressed, China-Kazakhstan comprehensive strategic partnership has been running at a high level and enjoys broad prospects for development. The Chinese side is ready to work with the Kazakh side to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, so as to elevate bilateral relations to new highs.
