Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia

On the evening of November 1, 2019 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met in Tashkent with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, who was attending the Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government.

Li Keqiang said, we co-chaired the 24th regular meeting between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister in St. Petersburg not long ago and reached new consensus on bilateral practical cooperation in various areas. China and Russia are comprehensive strategic partners of coordination and important SCO members. China stands ready to enhance strategic coordination with the Russian side in international and regional affairs so as to jointly safeguard regional and world peace, stability and prosperity.

Dmitry Medvedev said, the meeting between Russian Prime Minister and Chinese Premier held not long ago has been very fruitful, during which multiple cooperation agreements were signed. The Russia-China years of sub-national cooperation and exchanges have been very successful. The two countries should take the opportunity of holding the years of scientific and technological innovation in each other's country in 2020 and 2021 to further intensify innovative cooperation and promote new and greater development of Russia-China cooperation.
