Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng Attends the Reception Marking the 28th Anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan

On December 6, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng attended upon invitation the reception marking the 28th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan held by the Kazakh Embassy in China, and exchanged views with Kazakh Ambassador to China Gabit Koishibayev on China-Kazakhstan relations and topics of common interest.

In his speech, Le Yucheng extended festive greetings to the Kazakh side on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, saying that this year is a harvest one for China-Kazakhstan relations. The First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev attended the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in China in April. President Xi Jinping awarded the Friendship Medal, the highest state honor of China, to him, showcasing the high-level feature and particularity of bilateral relations to the international community. During President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's first visit to China in September, the two heads of state announced the development of China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership, pinpointing new historical positioning of bilateral relations. With the joint efforts of both sides, it is believed that bilateral relations will surely witness new and constant progress and take on a new look.
