On October 23, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng met with Saidzoda Zohir Ozod, the newly-appointed ambassador of Tajikistan to China. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, pragmatic cooperation and international and regional issues of common interest.
Le Yucheng welcomed Saidzoda to assume his new office in China and said, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the relations between China and Tajikistan have achieved leapfrog development. The two countries are among the first to declare a community of development and security, and take the lead in building a community with a shared future for mankind. The two sides should promptly implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen cooperation in jointly building the Belt and Road, and promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-Tajikistan relations.
Saidzoda said that he is honored to serve as ambassador to China. The relations between Tajikistan and China are a model of state-to-state relations. Tajikistan has always given top priority to its relations with China, and is ready to further promote the synergy between the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for the Period up to 2030 (NDS 2030) and the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen all-round cooperation and continuously upgrade the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, so as to benefit the two countries and peoples.
