External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping Meets with Uzbek Ambassador to China Bakhtiyor Saidov

On July 5, 2021, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping met with Uzbek Ambassador to China Bakhtiyor Saidov. Both sides exchanged views on issues such as bilateral relations, and China-Uzbekistan counter-terrorism and security cooperation.

Cheng Guoping said that on July 1, 2021, China held a grand meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech, stressing that the CPC pays close attention to the future and destiny of mankind and advances hand in hand with all forces for progress in the world. As comprehensive strategic partners, China and Uzbekistan have continued to enhance political mutual trust, spared no effort to deepen cooperation in counter-terrorism, security and other fields, and made positive contributions to the security and stability of the two countries and the region at large. China is willing to continue to strengthen all-round cooperation with Uzbekistan and push for new achievements in China-Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership.

Saidov extended sincere congratulations on the centenary of the CPC, stressing that under the leadership of the CPC, China has made remarkable achievements in various undertakings and significantly enhanced its international status and influence. Uzbekistan attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is ready to further strengthen high-level exchanges with China, strengthen cooperation in politics, economy and security, push bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level and make greater contributions to regional peace and stability.
