On July 5, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng invited Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov and more than 60 diplomats from the Russian Embassy in China to visit the Exhibition on the History of the Communist Party of China (CPC) themed "Staying True to the Founding Mission" at the Museum of the CPC. Denisov and his entourage listened attentively to the commentaries on the extraordinary course of the CPC in the past 100 years, stopped before relevant artifacts from time to time, and interacted with the accompanying staff.

Noting that the centenary of the CPC is a grand festival for all Chinese people during his exchange with Denisov and the diplomats of the Embassy, Le Yucheng said, the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC reviewed the glorious history and envisioned the bright journey ahead, and it is the political proclamation for the CPC members in the new era, encouraging more than 95 million CPC members to forge ahead further. We in the foreign service are seriously studying and implementing this important document. We are determined to, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, draw wisdom and strength from the CPC's 100-year history, and continuously open up new prospects in major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation. Guided by the implementation of the consensus reached by the two heads of state, both sides should carry forward traditional friendship, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, constantly enrich the strategic content of China-Russia relations in the new era, and continue to enhance the strategic coordination between China and Russia.

After visiting the exhibition, Denisov said, the 100-year history of the CPC is a complete history of unremitting efforts, no fear of sacrifice, theoretical exploration, creation of benefits for the people, and self-improvement. The important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on July 1 is of profound significance and rich in content, and is thus worth further reading to deepen understanding. As the governing party and the supreme political force in China, the CPC has a deep political foundation and enjoys high political prestige, with members coming from all walks of life in the country. He believes that the CPC is capable of leading the Chinese people to achieve greater success in national development, and will be bound to achieve the second centenary goal.

Denisov said, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, which has established fundamental principles and laid a solid foundation for the smooth advancement of Russia-China relations. While warmly celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the Russians and Chinese from all walks of life are also jointly celebrating the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty. The two sides will work together to make the two countries' relations even stronger and more solid, so as to continuously benefit the two peoples and make greater contributions to the maintenance of world peace and stability.

Denisov, who had already visited the exhibition with a group of diplomatic envoys to China, came again today with his embassy's major diplomats.
