On July 16, 2025, the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held the consultation of the press departments of their foreign ministries at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing. The consultation was chaired by Spokesperson and Director-General of the Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy of the Foreign Ministry Mao Ning. Representatives from the press departments of the foreign ministries of the member states and the SCO Secretariat participated in the consultation. All parties agreed to strengthen coordination and cooperation, ensure effective media coverage of the Tianjin Summit, jointly speak on major international and regional issues, and continuously enhance the international influence of the SCO.
