On June 26, 2025, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan in Beijing.

Wang Yi said that China and Armenia are both countries with an ancient civilization, and China-Armenia relations have a long history. The ancient Silk Road witnessed the traditional friendship between the two peoples. The two countries have always respected and trusted each other, pursued mutual benefit, and maintained the development momentum of bilateral cooperation. China is ready to work with Armenia to carry forward friendship, consolidate mutual trust, deepen cooperation, contribute to the development and revitalization of both countries, and create more benefits for the people of both countries.

Wang Yi stated that the world is now in an era of globalization, marked by the collective rise of the Global South. Bloc confrontation is completely outdated, and the international landscape will ultimately move towards multipolarity. China pursues a foreign policy that favors partnership and dialogue over alliance and confrontation, stays committed to promoting greater democracy in international relations, and opposes the return of the world to the law of the jungle. China is ready to work with Armenia and other countries to practice true multilateralism, jointly uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core and the international order underpinned by international law, advance the implementation of the three global initiatives put forth by President Xi Jinping, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind. China will, as always, support Armenia in safeguarding national sovereignty and independence, and blazing a path that is supported by the people and suited to its national conditions. China appreciates Armenia's commitment to the one-China principle and its firm support for China's position on issues concerning China's core interests.

Ararat Mirzoyan spoke highly of the three global initiatives put forth by President Xi Jinping, commended China's great history and civilization as well as its modern development achievements, and stated that Armenia will continue to uphold the one-China policy and support China in safeguarding its core interests. Armenia is willing to deepen cooperation with China in various fields such as connectivity, economy and trade, enhance friendly exchanges and mutual understanding between their peoples, strengthen coordination on international and regional affairs, establish a more stable, friendly and strategic partnership, and work for greater development of bilateral relations.

The two sides also had an exchange of views on deepening cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and issues such as the Israel-Iran conflict.
