On March 18, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou met with Russian Consul General in Guangzhou Teplov Yury at the latter’s request. The two sides had an exchange of views on facilitating people-to-people exchanges and sub-national cooperation between China and Russia, and boosting the sustained high-level and sound development of bilateral relations.
