On April 15, 2025, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing, upon invitation, attended and addressed the Seminar on Building a China-Africa Community with a Shared Future held by China Foreign Affairs University. Secretary of the CPC Committee of China Foreign Affairs University Wang Shiting, the visiting president and representatives of young diplomats of the African Diplomatic Academy, and African diplomatic envoys to China, among others, attended the seminar.
Xue Bing said that major changes unseen in a century are unfolding in an unprecedented way, with certain country using tariffs as a weapon of extreme pressure, and the world has once again reached a critical juncture. China is ready to work with Africa, guided by the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind put forth by President Xi Jinping, to jointly implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, advocate for an equal and orderly multipolar world and universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization, lead the world transformation with the collective rise of the Global South, and build an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.
The African representatives said in the speeches that irresponsible actions such as the abuse of tariffs endanger the world, and that Africa and China should jointly oppose unilateralism and protectionism and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
