Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing Visits Uganda

On June 17, 2025, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing visited Uganda, where he met separately with Ugandan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs John Mulimba and Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Mwebesa Francis.

Xue Bing stated that China attaches great importance to the development of relations with Uganda and is ready to work with Uganda, guided by the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, to advance the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the Outlook on Peace and Development in the Horn of Africa, enhance communication and cooperation in international affairs, and promote the continuous development of China-Uganda relations.

The Ugandan side spoke highly of bilateral relations and expressed its willingness to work with the Chinese side to jointly advance the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit and the Outlook, enhance exchanges at all levels, strengthen cooperation in various fields, continuously deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, and make greater contributions to regional peace and development.
