On June 18, 2025, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing visited Kenya and met with Kenya's Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi. Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan attended the meeting.
Xue Bing stated that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Kenya and is ready to make joint efforts with Kenya to implement the outcomes of President William Ruto's state visit to China, continuously deepen political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, and jointly advance the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the Outlook on Peace and Development in the Horn of Africa, working for constant, solid and substantial progress in the building of a China-Kenya community with a shared future for the new era.
Musalia Mudavadi extended congratulations on the successful convening of the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the FOCAC, expressing that Kenya is willing to work closely with China to jointly implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, deepen all-round cooperation, support each other on international and regional issues, and make greater contributions to jointly building an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.
