On July 10, 2025 local time, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo.

Li Qiang first conveyed President Xi Jinping's cordial greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Li Qiang stated that China-Egypt relations have witnessed vigorous development in recent years under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. China is ready to work with Egypt to take the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year as an opportunity to carry forward the traditional friendship, consolidate political mutual trust, continue to firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, constantly enrich the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership, push for more achievements in cooperation across various fields between the two nations, and keep moving forward to the goal of building a China-Egypt community with a shared future in the new era.

Li Qiang noted that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Egypt under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative in such areas as economy, trade, finance, manufacturing, new energy, science and technology, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and encourage more capable Chinese enterprises to invest in Egypt. The international landscape is marked by escalating turbulence and mounting disorder, especially the prolonged and unresolved conflicts in the West Asian and North African regions. China stands ready to maintain close communication with Egypt, promote an early ceasefire in Gaza, alleviate the humanitarian crisis, prevent the spillover and escalation of the conflict, and make unremitting efforts for a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian question. China is willing to work with Egypt to enhance communication and coordination within multilateral platforms including the United Nations, BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, practice true multilateralism, promote an equal and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization, and push for the steady and long-term development of China-Arab and China-Africa cooperation.

Abdel Fattah El-Sisi asked Li Qiang to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China has made remarkable achievements in economic and social development. China is a sincere friend of Egypt, and bilateral relations have always enjoyed steady and smooth development since the establishment of diplomatic relations. Notably, in recent years, with the joint efforts of both sides, Egypt and China have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, and bilateral relations have reached the highest level in history. Egypt firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with China, advance Belt and Road cooperation, and deepen cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, investment, new energy, infrastructure construction and tourism. Egypt welcomes more Chinese enterprises to enter the Egyptian market and is ready to provide facilitation in this regard. Egypt supports the series of global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping and stands ready to strengthen multilateral cooperation with China to promote world peace and development.
