China and Senegal are partners and brothers in pursuit of development and revitalization. China is ready to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with Senegal, and further advance the China-Senegal comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, so as to bring greater benefits to the two peoples and inject more impetus into China-Africa friendship and cooperation among the Global South.

Xi Jinping stressed that China and Senegal should firmly support each other in pursuing independent development paths, enhance inter-party exchanges as well as the sharing and mutual learning of state governance, and continuously consolidate the foundation of political mutual trust. China is ready to work closely with Senegal to implement the ten partnership actions between China and Africa, carry out more livelihood projects, and encourage Chinese enterprises to participate in investments in Senegal's new energy, digital infrastructure development and other sectors to become partners for win-win cooperation. As China and Senegal have distinctive cultures, the two sides should take the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges as an opportunity to enhance personnel exchanges, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in culture, education, tourism, sports, youth and other sectors, continuously bring the two peoples closer, and become true friends in mutual learning among civilizations. The two sides should firmly defend the international system with the United Nations at its core, practice true multilateralism, follow the vision of global governance featuring extensive consultation and joint contribution for shared benefit, and jointly contribute to world peace, prosperity and progress.

Ousmane Sonko conveyed President Bassirou Diomaye Faye's sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping. Ousmane Sonko noted that China is a reliable cooperative partner of Senegal. The two sides have always treated each other with mutual respect, solidarity, and mutual support. Bilateral relations have remained stable and resilient, and cooperation in various fields has made positive progress. Senegal firmly upholds the one-China principle and looks forward to deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, advancing Belt and Road cooperation, and enhancing cooperation in such fields as trade, investment and energy to support Senegal's economic and social development. Both Senegal and China are members of the Global South and share common values. Senegal is willing to strengthen coordination with China in international and regional affairs, remain steadfastly a strategic partner of China, jointly promote international fairness and justice, and safeguard the common interests of the Global South.
